About.

Judge Pam Ferguson was elected as Clayton County Probate Judge in 2003. She is humbled and thankful to the voters of Clayton County for electing her each term.

She received her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctorate from the University of Georgia. She practiced Family Law for fourteen years with her father Monroe Ferguson prior to becoming a Judge.

She is married to Nick Roberts, and they have three sons. She serves on various Civic Organizations and is also involved with her church. She founded the volunteer program called Clayton Visiting Friends where volunteers visit wards (similar to CASA in Juvenile Court) in 2008. She presided over the Clayton County Treatment Court for misdemeanor cases 2013-2018.

She served on several committees of the Probate Judge's Council including:  the Mental Health Committee, Automation Committee and Rules and Forms Committee which she chaired for 9 years. She is currently the chair of the Bench book and Handbook Committee. She serves as treasurer for District 3 of the Probate Judge’s Council, which is comprised of the metro county Probate Courts. She also served on the Task Force to Promote Criminal Justice/Mental Health Collaboration, which was set up by Chief Justice, Leah Ward Sears.

During the pandemic she reconfigured her courtroom and with the approval of the Clayton County Board of Commissioners to create a solution to allow the issuance of Weapons Carry Permits to be issued quickly and efficiently. The project lasted several months, and thousands of permits were issued.
